Broomfield, Colorado USA, June 11, 2008 — MWH Soft, a leading global provider of environmental and water resources applications software, today announced that Gold Coast Water (GCW), Queensland, Australia, has adopted the company’s industry-leading H2OMAP Water Suite and H2OMAP SWMM Suite software as its standard water, recycled water and wastewater network modeling solution. The suites will serve as the foundation for developing a comprehensive geospatial solution for operating, managing and maintaining GCW’s complex water and wastewater systems and support planning for water, recycled water and wastewater infrastructure for the next 50 years. GCW provides water and wastewater services to more than 10.4 million tourists annually and to over 497,000 residents in 209,000 residential and 17,138 non-residential properties. Its water distribution system comprises 3,140 km of water mains, 78 reservoirs, 66 pump stations, and two water treatment plants. The wastewater system consists of a complex network of 3,125 km of wastewater mains, 606 pump stations, four wastewater treatment plants, 131 km of recycled water mains and one recycled water treatment plant.
